Carolina Landing RV Park and Lake Hartwell

Bill and I joined a Camping Membership called Thousand Trails/Encore Resorts.  We received a special at a Lazy Days RV show.  We paid $425 for two zones (Southeast and Southwest) and get 1 month free at all Thousand Trails campgrounds,  thereafter we will pay only $3 a day.  The membership is for 1 year. All Encore resorts are at reduced rates of 20 to as much as 50 percent off.  The only stipulation is we can only stay in a Thousand Trails park for 14 consecutive days then we must leave for a week, and then we are eligible for another 14 days.  If we stay 4 days or less we can go from park to park.  There is no limitation on the Encore resorts and we can stay at them as much as we want.

One of the nice things about our lifestyle is we can change our minds about where we want to be pretty easily.  Thus we have decided to leave South Carolina, and head to a Thousand Trails resort in the Orlando area.  Disney World here we come!

Below are some pics of our RV Park and Lake Hartwell

Lake Hartwell is a 87.5 square mile man made lake bordering South Carolina and Georgia.  The lake comprises nearly 56,000 acres of water,  and has 962 miles of shoreline.  It was built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers between 1955 and 1963.
